Changes & Beginnings
Some of you may have noticed the increasing "boredom" that has permeated my blog in the past few months. Template changes, more long quotes, more links, and repetitive arguments seem to be the rut I am stuck in with Ink & Paper.
As such, I have found myself losing interest in writing on international issues and the disdainful practices of the American government. More importantly, I felt that my writing was more focused on speed rather than quality, something I don't want to become a habit.
I have come to feel that Ink & Paper had indeed peaked and was only looking at a tired and repetitive path into the future if I kept on as is. I write for pleasure and I have found myself enjoying it less and less as I struggled to keep up a daily analysis of huge news stories.
As such I have decided to "split" the blog into two. Ink & Paper will remain dedicated to political issues, although on a less regular schedule, perhaps once a week. I will endeavor to write more analytical mini-essays and concentrate more on particular issues, instead of trying to cover them all. I'm still, and most likely always will be, a news junkie. And don't cry, I'll still have my opinions. Hopefully they will be more focused.
Part two of the split is what I am most excited about. On a separate blog, entitled The Underachiever's Collapse I have begun a creative writing account of someone who doesn't exist, a fake blog if you will, with a new episode appearing every Thursday night or Friday morning, life permitting. This series will be an ongoing project with no end in sight. As such, it will most likely emerge as my main focus. No promises on quality though, just the best I can do.
I'm sure this won't change your life but I hope that it will add a few highlights to your week over the next year or so. So that is that, I recommend that you bookmark or otherwise save the new blog address and check back every Friday, starting today.
In other news, I predict that I will be the first man in history to get "forcibly evicted" from Marriage Prep this weekend. Who says I can't yell "I am the true messiah!" during some sharing circle? Who says I can't end every sentence with "...according to the propher Muhammed, Peace Be Upon Him?" Ahh the memories....

If anyone is interested in adopting a cat, there are two ladies at my office who are looking to place some strays that have come into their lives. One cat is 6-9 months old, male, and super affectionate. The other one, I dunno, haven't heard much.
If you are interested, let me know.

New wireless router, sporadic connections as I really have no idea what I am doing. Subsequently, I am full of rage.
Router permitting there will be an blog related announcement on Friday and maybe a new template.
Because stagnation isn't much fun.

The new theme of the blog is weak wireless internet routers and how they piss me off to no end. On hiatus until I either fix it or buy a new one.
Once that happens, then the new theme will come about. I guess that nakes it the "new" new theme.
