The Concert Review Edition

Well as many of you know, Jeff's band sierra played their first show last night at Wooly Bully's. Me, Megan and my Ma & Pa went to see them play and overall, they did pretty good. They played for about a half hour and seemed very tight musically, with no major musical screw ups occurring. Jeff's vocals were drowned out a little by the bass and drums, but other than that, I would give it a good overall evaluation. And its hard for me to admit my little bro isn't a total write off.

Good crowd turnout, the place had a lineup outside. I'm sure all the people in the street were waiting patiently to see the band, not just to get hammered on the Thursday before reading week. Jeff played the crowd well, making fun of Kyleton for liking to drink "lots and lots of gladiators."

As mentioned, my Ma and Pa came out, and despite having a few decades on most of the patrons there, showed support while "their little boy" rocked out onstage. Megan got falling-down drunk, but thats just par for the course with her. Just kidding.

So now you know the rest of the story and next time they play, you should do your best to get out to support them. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is Concert Review edition of your favorite blog. Enjoy the long weekend.

Okay, I added and updated some of the links. Hope you read them and think. I'll try to write some more during the week.

Damn, this Joe Strummer album is amazing.

Hey folks. Here is some info that might interest you. It's for my brothers band. If you feel like coming, let me know.

Hey all. I'm writing because my band (sierra) is playing a show this Thursday at Wooly Bully's (Whyte Ave). It's our first bar show, so I thought you might want to come watch and say hi. Anyways, tickets are only $5, and you get can them from Spencer, Nick, Robbie or myself - with a ticket you're guaranteed to get in, whereas if you show up later at the door, you might have to wait in line for a bit. We'd probably be on around 9pm, with Brodie after. It'd be great to see all of you, so hopefully i will this Thursday. L8er

I love sundays
